How to Continue a Long Claude Conversation in a Fresh Chat

Long Claude threads can lose track of earlier reasoning. A structured handover keeps the useful context available when you move into a fresh conversation.

Steps

  1. Install the thredly Chrome extension. Add thredly to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store. The extension adds a Summarize button directly inside the Claude interface.
  2. Open your long Claude conversation. Navigate to the Claude thread you want to continue. thredly works with conversations of any length.
  3. Click the thredly Summarize button. thredly analyzes the conversation, extracts key decisions and context, and produces a structured summary in under 3 minutes.
  4. Start a fresh Claude conversation. Open a new chat in Claude and paste the thredly summary as your first message. Claude now has the full context to continue from where you left off.
