How thredly works
- Provide a conversation in the web app or open a supported chat in the Chrome extension.
- Generate and review a structured handover containing the important working context.
- Paste that handover into a fresh chat on the same or another AI platform.
Why thredly exists
Long AI conversations can become difficult to continue effectively when useful instructions, decisions, progress and open work need to move into a fresh conversation. thredly was built around a structured handover approach to make that transition easier.
How thredly is tested
thredly uses automated regression checks covering handover processing, supported ChatGPT extraction behaviour, authentication, analytics, consent, security, metadata and production deployment safeguards.
Generated handovers are intended to be reviewed by the user before continuing in a new conversation.
Who runs thredly
thredly is an independent product founded and operated by Sonny Macaravey, trading as thredly. Sonny operates it as a sole trader and also provides customer support. For help, email hello@thredly.io.
Support and compatibility
thredly creates structured conversation handovers. It is not persistent AI memory.
Direct Chrome extension support is available for ChatGPT, Claude, and DeepSeek. The web app creates a copyable handover that can be pasted into other text-based AI chats, including Gemini and Perplexity.
thredly.io is an AI conversation-handover product. It is not affiliated with thredly.dev, the unrelated Threads-data API.
