Should I summarize before or after cloning a SpicyChat conversation?
Summarize the exact branch you want to continue. If you are deciding between branches, keep a separate summary for each one.
SpicyChat guide
SpicyChat offers saved chats and cloning. A compact summary helps you carry the essential branch, character state, and next scene into the continuation.
Cloning can preserve an original conversation while you explore another direction. A summary should state which branch it represents and which details from the original remain true.
This avoids giving a fresh session several conflicting versions of the same event.
Save or clone the source chat using the platform controls that fit your goal.
Use thredly to write the chosen branch as a clean state of play, including events that did not occur in other branches.
Paste the summary and an explicit next-scene instruction into the continuation.
thredly is independent of SpicyChat. It does not read SpicyChat chats automatically. Copy a conversation section or use a native export when available, then paste or upload the text through thredly's supported web workflow.

State the branch point and the final version of relevant events in the handover. Do not copy mutually exclusive scenes into one summary.
