PolyBuzz guide

PolyBuzz memory: context, character details, and continuity

PolyBuzz chats can accumulate character facts and story events quickly. When older details stop affecting a reply, a short current-state handover is more useful than a very long transcript.

Character details need room alongside conversation history

Character information establishes a starting point, while the recent conversation carries the immediate scene. Long roleplays require the model to balance both within its active context.

Avoid treating a change in recall as proof that every old chat record is gone. It is better understood as a cue to restate the few facts the next scene needs.

Signs it is time to make a continuity note

  • A character forgets an established relationship or scenario detail.
  • Earlier events are restated inconsistently.
  • The current scene loses its chronology after a long exchange.

A practical PolyBuzz preservation workflow

Copy the relevant chat section and identify the facts that are currently active.

Use thredly to summarize character identity, your persona, plot events, and unresolved scenes.

Paste the summary into a fresh session as a concise setup, then keep the raw text as a separate archive.

thredly is independent of PolyBuzz. It does not read PolyBuzz chats automatically. Copy a conversation section or use a native export when available, then paste or upload the text through thredly's supported web workflow.

What a useful handover should retain

  • Character identity, personality, voice, and any user persona details that still matter.
  • Names, relationships, boundaries, promises, preferences, and corrections that supersede earlier information.
  • Important story events, locations, dates, running jokes, unresolved plot points, and the current objective.
  • A short instruction for the next session that states where the conversation should resume.

Frequently asked questions

Why did a PolyBuzz character forget an earlier event?

A long chat can make earlier information less influential in the active response context. A focused recap can re-establish the events that matter now.

Does thredly directly collect PolyBuzz chats?

No. Supply copied or otherwise available text through the manual web workflow.
