How to export RisuAI chats and keep a portable summary

RisuAI supports a broader character-card and lorebook ecosystem. For a particular roleplay, preserve the chat itself separately from those reusable assets.

Exportable assets and conversation history are different records

RisuAI-related formats can preserve character and lorebook data, but a character card does not automatically contain the events of a specific chat. Keep a dedicated chat record when those events matter.

Use the export controls that are currently available in your RisuAI installation, and make a manual text copy if you need a platform-independent fallback.

Signs it is time to make a continuity note

  • You are moving a character or world into another compatible tool.
  • You need the chat's unique events in addition to the card and lorebook.
  • You want a small, readable handover for the next session.

A practical RisuAI preservation workflow

Export or copy the character and lore assets separately from the chat record when both matter.

Give thredly the chat text for a summary of current events, identities, and open threads.

Store the summary with its source chat, clearly labeled by character, world, and chapter.

thredly is independent of RisuAI. It does not read RisuAI chats automatically. Copy a conversation section or use a native export when available, then paste or upload the text through thredly's supported web workflow.

What a useful handover should retain

  • Character identity, personality, voice, and any user persona details that still matter.
  • Names, relationships, boundaries, promises, preferences, and corrections that supersede earlier information.
  • Important story events, locations, dates, running jokes, unresolved plot points, and the current objective.
  • A short instruction for the next session that states where the conversation should resume.

Frequently asked questions

Can an exported RisuAI character card include the chat story?

Character-card formats primarily preserve character setup. Preserve the specific chat separately when you need its events and relationship developments.

Does thredly export RisuAI data?

No. It summarizes text you supply. Use RisuAI's own current export controls for character or lorebook formats.
